Obstetrician and Gynaecologist Bruno Giorgio gave
birth to Twin Bays vineyard and winery in 1989. The winery was originally
intended as a weekend hobby, but over the past 15 years Bruno's passion
and commitment to winemaking has grown, resulting in one of Australia's
smallest and finest boutique wineries.
A son of Italian immigrants, it seemed the passion
for wine ran in Bruno's blood. Armed with childhood memories of making
wine at home, a background in medicine and a handful of romantic notions,
he set about establishing the vineyard and winery.

grew to house a cellar and wine tasting room. To
economise, much of the work was done by the Giorgio's and, initially reluctant
converts to the winemaking process, Bruno's young family helped dig, prune,
pick, crush and bottle, and as the wine and they have matured, access
to such lovely wines is proving worth the early years of hard work.
Without formal training Bruno read widely and relied
on the advice and support of the many friends he has made in the grape
and wine industry. The result is a creative and innovative approach to
winemaking, with vintages incorporating unique and experimental wines.
