Twin Bays is the first winery in the Yankalilla district and pioneer of a new maritime grape region on this uniquely beautiful area of the Southern Fleurieu.

Southern Fleurieu is the registed wine grape apellation given to the bulk of the Fleurieu Peninsula, south of Adelaide. The area begins at Sellicks Hill, just a few kilometres from McLaren Vale and cuts eastward through Mt Compass to Victor Harbour and Middleton, returning along the coast through Cape Jervis and back again.

The area is a wonderful patchwork of rolling hills, deep valleys and gentle slopes. A rugged coastline and spectacular scenery with a myriad of bays give way to broad expanses of sand and rolling surf.

Vineyards can be found dotted throughout the region. Each has its own very particular microclimate and the growers have had to find the variety of grape best suited. Some of the newer varieties such as Pinot Gris and Viognier seem to do quite well. Shiraz, Grenache, Riesling and Sauvignon Blanc excel.

We are fortunate to be able to select premium fruit from only the best vineyards, giving us wide scope for new and innovative wines.
